MTO Furniture was launched to make a difference in the Contract Furniture market… yes every company says that, but the proof is in the pudding.
George and Sam have both always loved making their customers’ experiences as pleasant as possible, so it was only natural they would one day launch a business together. The added desire to cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, only cements a company ethos and chain which will continue for many years to come.
At MTO, we promise to only offer you the best products and experience. We always want to help, so let us know if you can’t find what you’re after! We’ve carefully sourced the best factories and suppliers who share our values in quality and sustainability, but they also understand that what’s in the brochure, may not be special enough, so if you want to go a bit bespoke, we’d love to give you exactly what you’re looking for.

George (Co-Founder & MD)
George has been working in Sales & Marketing roles since leaving University (over 10 yrs ago!) Having spent the last 6 years in the Contract Furniture market, he discovered his passion for interiors and more specifically the furniture which line them.
Not a natural-born “Salesman” he’s always preferred to focus on the problem-solving aspect of sales and likes to put himself in the client’s shoes.
In the last six years, George has established himself as one of the “go to” furniture experts in his field and has worked with the likes of Azzurri Group, Accor Hotels, BUPA & Morgan Lovell…to name a few!
Whilst George has a history of working on projects of all sizes, he has always retained a particular affinity for working on small to medium sized projects that push the boundaries of Design. George is known for tailoring his approach and skill-set towards the project in hand, if he doesn’t know the answer – he’ll know someone that does!
Sam (Co-Founder)
Sam has had a wide range of roles over the years, but the main ones kept him on the path of engineering, specifically in design and sales. Having spent several years being channelled to develop the logical side of his brain for problem solving, it became a fairly easy transition to move over to consulting!
Engineering has a funny way of teaching you to stand on the outside of problems and be objective about them.
In the last twelve years, Sam has established himself as one of the youngest long-standing management consultants in the country and has worked with over 200 companies of various sizes.
Whilst Sam has a history of working with businesses at various levels, like George, he has always retained a particular affinity for working with smaller ones, particularly start-ups, young companies and SMEs, helping to get new and exciting ideas off the ground!

Sustainability and what we are doing about it…
At MTO, our focus is to supply high quality products that will not only last, but create as little impact on the environment as possible.
We use FSC and PEFC suppliers who share our ethics on transnational environmental policy and the responsible management of the world’s forests.
We’re acutely aware of the sustainability issues of unnecessary transportation and therefore prioritise manufacturing in the UK where possible, we also reuse and recycle all our packaging.
We also work with Social Enterprise RAW Workshop to recycle our excess wood and create rustic wooden table tops for our clients, creating valuable Social Impact for our local community.
In addition, we offer recycled products and materials including: Foresso, Smile Plastics & Recycled Plastic Fabrics
Through our Second Life programme, we take away our clients unwanted furniture and find a new home, with all profits being donated to our charity – Katharine House Hospice
